NUS Initiative to Improve Health in Asia - Healthcare Leadership Program
About NUS Initiative to Improve Health in Asia - Healthcare Leadership Program
NIHA is a new integrative initiative to improve public health and healthcare delivery in Asia. It is coordinated by the NUS Global Asia Institute (NUS-GAI), in collaboration with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the NUS Business School. NIHA will also collaborate on relevant expertise with other institutions in Singapore and internationally.
This program aims to enhance leadership acumen and decision making abilities amongst leaders in the health sector. Participants will learn about health policy and program design, implementation and evaluation, and healthcare leadership and management. The NIHA is a first-of-its-kind with Asia-centric case studies and faculty. A distinct and unique program, it will blend traditional teaching methods with case studies learning and site visits. In addition, all participants will also get a chance to work with a faculty mentor on a practical project.
Who should apply?
The NIHA Healthcare Leadership Program targets leaders from government, civil service and civil society who contribute to health policy and health services delivery in Asia. Participants are likely to be mid-career directors or deputy directors, in charge of a health program or department.
