Eligibility Criteria

HMDP-ILTC is open for application to ILTC Institutions which meet any of the following criteria:

  1. ILTC service institutions that are operated by voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs) registered as charities with MOH or receive funding for the provision of ILTC services from MOH; or 
  2. Private ILTC service institutions receiving portable subsidies from the MOH; and
  3. 3rd party service institutions with IPC status, providing supporting healthcare services to VWOs providing ILTC services, as defined above.

HMDP-ILTC application is open to staff who meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicant must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident (PR);
  2. Applicant must have at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare or the ILTC sector; and
  3. Applicant shall be a full-time or part-time employee of:-
    • ILTC service institutions* that are operated by voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs) registered as charities with MOH or receive funding for the provision of ILTC services from MOH; or
    • Private ILTC service institutions* receiving portable subsidies from the MOH; and
    • 3rd party service institutions with IPC status, providing supporting healthcare services to VWOs providing ILTC services, as defined above.
    • *Intermediate and Long Term Care (ILTC) refers to the range of healthcare services outside of acute hospitals which patients may require after an acute hospitalisation when their acute medical conditions have stabilised. ILTC service institutions include Community Hospitals, Chronic Sick Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Inpatient Hospice Care, Day Rehabilitation Centres for Elderly, Dementia Day Care Centres, Psychiatric Day Care Centres and Rehabilitation Homes, Home Medical, Home Nursing, Home Hospice Care Services and such other organisations deemed to be providing ILTC services by MOH.
  4. Applicant is in the medical, nursing, pharmacy or allied health professions, is working in ILTC administration or as a care support staff.
  5. Trainees who are not in the medical, nursing, pharmacy, allied health professions or a support care staff, must be from VWOs whose charity sector administrator is MOH.
  6. Applicant from a 3rd party service provider must be a healthcare professional.

Post Training Requirements

Upon completion of the training under HMDP-ILTC, original receipts and invoices for each applicant must be submitted to AIC for disbursement of funding. Each applicant must also submit a training report to AIC using the HMDP-ILTC Report Template within one (1) month of completing their course. Awardees will also be invited to share the key learning points of their training at  various learning platforms for ILTC sector.
