Balaji Sadasivan Study Award

BACKGROUND OF BALAJI SADASIVAN STUDY AWARD

The Balaji Sadasivan Study Award, funded by the Balaji Sadasivan Endowment managed by Temasek Cares, is an education and training fund for students pursing careers as Nurses, Allied Health professionals or Healthcare Administrators in the Intermediate and Long-Term Care (ILTC) sector. Established in 2010, the programme seeks to attract more people to join the sector and to build up the professional capabilities of the ILTC voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs) to provide quality client-centred care.

It is administered by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC).

The Balaji Sadasivan Study Award was previously named as Temasek Cares Study Award (TC-SA). It was re-named to recognise the late Dr Balaji Sadasivan's integral role in contributing to the healthcare sector.
